My fees

I offer a free initial phone or e-mail consultation of up to 15 minutes to discuss your requirements.  

My rate is:-
£22 an hour for carrying out the research for family trees and family or house histories, transcription or translation. The hourly rate also applies to meetings and production of reports.

Payment can be made by cheque (in pounds sterling please), bank transfer, or PayPal (for which  I have to make an additional charge of 6% to cover administrative costs).

Additional costs
Fees for GRO certificates  and copies of wills and probate
Charges made by county record offices and archives
Travel costs (to be agreed with you beforehand)
Specialist printing, copying and personalised presentation requirements

Usually I will be able to find the information you require. In some cases, where, for example, parish records are missing, ancestors have slipped through the census net, or when searching for records of those involved in WWI, it might not be possible. If this happens, I will still have to charge for the time spent on the research.

Please note that any existing family trees in your possession will have to be reconfirmed.
