Look-up services If you are investigating Sussex family history, I can offer on-the-spot help to find entries in census, General Registration, wills and probate records.
       
Getting over “brick walls” There can be many reasons why you are unable to get beyond a certain point in your research. I will do my  best to offer suggestions and help you proceed.

House histories Have you ever wondered who lived in your house before you, the history of the house itself or what went on in the surrounding community?
       
Transcription and translation  You may have old documents in hand-writing you can’t decipher or records, letters and documents in other languages. I offer skills in palaeography (the study of forms of scripts used in earlier centuries). I speak and write fluent French and German and have a good understanding of Spanish, with access to colleagues who speak other languages such as Italian and Swedish.

Different options can be discussed for the presentation of your research. Family trees can be produced in a range of formats including hand-written calligraphy.
